Guess it could have been worse

Good thing I don't live in Virginia. Apparently, they have a law where you can only buy one gun a month. That's why the Virginia Tech shooter had to buy the 22 cal from a pawn shop in February, and the 9 mm from a gun store in March. But what if someone who has more than one house decides to arm themselves? What about their second amendment rights? Can they wait until the last day of the month, and then buy a second piece on the 1st? Those fascist bastards!

Some so called expert on MSNBC yesterday suggested that if the students of VA Tech were allowed to carry concealed weapons than this could have been averted. It's legal for other Virginia residents to carry concealed weapons, but it's illegal for students at a public institution to do so. This head on MSNBC condemned that law. One of my college roommates bought a BB gun. Within the week there were pellets in basically every piece of furniture, and when I beat another roommate on a Steve Young hail mary in NFL 2K, he opened fire on me. Not that I think it's a good idea for anyone besides police and military to carry handguns, but it's an exceptionally bad idea for college students to carry them.

On the Tony Kornheiser Show today, a listener suggested that the second amendment be revised to say that you could only bear arms that were available at the time it was written, such as flintlock muskets or pistols, perhaps cannons. Because of course the founding fathers didn't realize that every time a firearm would be discharged in this country at a human being it would be on another American citizen and not some foreign invader.
