Hot rumor

Profootballtalk is reporting a Tampa based rumor that the Buccanneers have traded the #4 overall pick and Simeon Rice for the #2 overall pick. Stay tuned.

Added: Profootballtalk is reporting those talks dead, for now. Perhaps because the Redskins and Falcons have entered the bidding.

Says Profootballtalk
The source also says that the Lions are confused by the Redskins' interest in moving up, since Washington doesn't have many other 2007 picks to offer.

Atlanta makes a little more sense, because not only do they have multiple second round picks but an enormous need a receiver. Adding Calvin Johnson might make Atlanta the favorite in the NFC South. Trading up from 10 to 8 in the Matt Schaub deal looks great now that it has been established that there is a drop off after the top 8. (See my mock draft below)
